Week Beginning the 2nd June

Unit 9 – Production Values On Monday 6 th January, I went with the Camden Youth Theatre to see Cryrano De Bergerac starring James McAvoy at the Playhouse Theatre. The lighting used was: Spotlight – The spotlight was used to highlight a performer or a certain area of the stage. The spotlight made the audience focus on that character in that scene. Floodlight – The floodlight gave light to the whole stage and backdrop. Coloured filters can be used with this light. The audience saw everything that happened on the stage and did not have to concentrate on one area. Fresnel – The fresnel has a softer edged effect, it created a dark mood on stage. The audience knew it was an important moment in the play. Neon Lights – The Neon Lights created a scary atmosphere which made me think the stage looked like the inside of a space rocket.
