Week Beginning the 25th November

On Monday 25th November Shenagh showed us 8 postcards with a photo of a person and we got to pick one of them. We then had to get into pairs and do a performance of acting as those characters on the postcards. I partnered with Hanna. I played two roles, one of a police officer and the other as the sister Summer. Our performance was about Hanna killing her sister Lucy whilst she was trying to kill her. She then confessed to the police about what happened. Hanna then met her lawyer who was also her sister Summer. Summer helped her sister by telling the police that it was self-defence, under pressure and she was not able to think. This was then left on a cliff hanger. This helped us to know how to improvise and how to do a performance from looking at a photo with no information about it. This was fun to do because I was able to give many ideas about what our performance should be about, and Hanna did the same. We were able to listen to each other and work as a team. The improvements we...

Week Beginning the 18th November

On Monday 18th November, the last group in my class were filming their haunted house. The rest of the class went to the library to complete their Hamilton homework. I was lucky enough to help the last group with their film. I helped with the makeup and props. It was a fun experience as it was good to help out and work behind the scenes, but they were unable to finish filming because of retakes and the makeup.  We then got into pairs and had to write a script starting with one of the following lines:  1. No I don’t feel guilty  2. Listen to me please  3. Have you seen the ....  4. Wait? Why  Myself and Alana chose the line “no I don’t feel guilty”  We made a plan, this is what we wrote:  All the scripts were swapped around, we performed another pairs work.  All performances were about relationships not going well. The script myself and Alana wrote was performed by Mark and Shadhut. It was funny to watch, they se...

Week Beginning the 11th November

On Monday 1 1th Novembe r  Shenagh saw our Short Movie that we did with Rob on Thursday. Shenagh made a few changes to our performance: 1. Whilst walking through the fun fair scene we should look excited and be interested in every ride. This showed that we were more in our characters. 2. When we go in the haunted house myself and   Ashleigh  should have a few moments where I convince her to go inside, I act excited whilst Ashley acts scared. 3. When in the haunted house we should look around. Myself,   Ashleigh , Louis and Hanna show how scared and nervous we are in our facial expressions and body. We then chose our props from the prop room for our film. We were able to get: 1. A black jacket for Mark 2. A bowl to put the Crystal ball in 3. 2 cloths for Marks chair and table For the story board when we go to the fortune teller for   Ashleigh 's future we added to the ending that Louis would throw the crystal in a...

Week Beginning the 4th November

On Monday  4th November  we watched the videos that Rob took of our haunted houses performances and shenagh gave each group improvements. For my group we had to make the last scene very clear as she didn’t understand. We then had to do Scene break down for silent movie.  Scene 1  - Setting / friend’s house 4 friends are playing the Ouija board and we ask 2 questions. This is how we did ours:    1. Are there any spirts with us?  2. Is something bad going to happen today?  And the answer to each question was “yes”. We then stop playing.  Scene 2 - Fun fair at the fun fair we decide to see the fortune teller.  Ashleigh  asks about her future, she is told that she will die in the haunted house. He then says if you chose to go in do not look at the blue light or else. Scene 3 - See the haunted house We decide to go to the haunted house, but  Ashleigh  does not want to enter because she’s afraid of what the fortune...
