Final performance for Identity.
Today was our Identity performance. I
felt quite nervous but excited at the same time. I was nervous about the
audience not liking it but excited to be able to finally show everyone what we
have worked on.
Our performance was amazing. In one
scene, Hanna was told how pretty she was and how nice her jacket was but behind
her back we pulled disgusted faces which made the audience react with “ooooh”
and laughs. Another scene that the audience got involved with our performance was
the dance. The audience cheered and clapped which made us feel confident and
positive with our performance.
There were some technical issues just
before the dance. The lighting and sound students were having trouble getting
the music started so we had to wait a while before we could continue. Whilst
waiting we were all looking at each other nervously and not sure what to do but
the music finally started, we were able to continue with the performance.
Even though we waited about a minute it felt longer. We can learn from this
instead of standing and doing nothing, we could try to do the dance without the
music.
Overall, I am very proud of how the
performance went. I was happy with how I performed my verbatim, because I was
able to speak in a loud and clear voice. I was able to take my time and act how
my dad spoke as he was the person I interviewed.
When we finished we went back to our
seat’s, students from the audience said, “well done” and “it was really good, well done” this put a smile on my face because people really enjoyed watching
our performance.
